About Anthemion Construction

Anthemion Construction Services, LLC is known for its varied areas of residential building ranging from large-scale custom homes to small remodeling projects. By preference, the company remains small, affording its principal, Victor Smith, Jr., to work closely with clients in shaping their visions of places worth calling home.  Victor’s dedicated teams of craftsmen and tradesmen share his commitment to fine quality and un-paralleled customer service in all of the projects the company undertakes.

Victor earned a B.A. in English from the University of Mississippi in 1991. He then gained valuable experience in the commercial real estate industry in the areas of leasing and property management, leading him to then pursue additional education in the construction field. In 1995, he received his Master’s in Building Construction from Auburn University’s nationally recognized Building Science Program in its College of Architecture, Design, and Construction. Professional associations include membership in the Homebuilders’ Association of Jackson, the Institute of Classical Architecture and Classical America, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Heritage Trust.

A lifelong Mississippi resident, Victor lives in Jackson with his wife Neil and their three children. In addition to Anthemion, he has owned and operated a business selling antique furniture and objects since 1992. His interests include tennis, duck hunting, and coaching youth baseball. As a member of First Presbyterian Church, Victor serves as a Deacon, sings in the choir, and teaches children’s Sunday School. He has also served on the board of Directors of the Mississippi Opera and is a member of the Jackson Club.
